I took a film class in college. After that, I knew movies would be my favorite hobby.

I learned a great deal from that class. We were taught about imagery, cinematography, story structure, and so much more. That class took something that I liked well enough and turned it into an entirely new passion. I even took classes to get a Film Studies minor. Whether or not that was made official is to be determined. At the very least, I took all the classes.

I’ve always thought about starting my own blog for film reviews. What really made me think about it seriously was seeing my film collection. If I go to a store that sells movies, I will make a point of buying some I don’t own already. I started collecting so many movies that I had to get new furniture just to store them. I started to think that having this blog would give me an excuse to watch all of them. Plus, I’ve always fancied myself an amateur film critic. Why not have a way of practicing my abilities?

On this site, I will be sharing my thoughts on various films that I watch. Additionally, I will post other blogs dedicated to my thoughts on different topics related to movies and the movie industry. My goal is to release a new film review every two weeks. Other blogs will go up when I think of a topic. I own well over 100 movies, so I can do this for a while.

These film reviews are my way of sharing my love of film with others. If people happen to care about my opinion, that’s fine too. The way I see it, everyone has their own opinion about things, especially movies. Certain opinions carry influence only because other people allow them to have influence. At the end of the day, all I want to do is let you know what I thought about a particular movie. When you get down to it, there isn’t a single film review out there that is anything more than one moviegoer’s opinion.
